- Establish and revise management information systems policies and procedures.
- Establish and revise medical record policies to ensure that records are complete, up to date, readily accessible, secure, and in compliance with center policies and regulations.
- Provides training and ongoing education to employees.
- Participates in the recruitment and hiring of staff.
- Conducts evaluations of staff during probation and, at a minimum, annually.
- Maintains current knowledge of state and federal regulations, including HIPAA.
- Collaborates with center personnel to improve health information management systems.
- Troubleshoots MIS problems of HIM operational concerns.
- Participates in quality assurance/risk management activities.
- Provides the administrator(s) and management with statistical data.
- Other duties as requested.
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience in Health Information Management
- Strong computer skills with emphasis on Word, Excel, electronic tracking, and records
- Associate/Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or a related field, preferred

NYC Ambulatory Healthcare facility seeks an experienced Medical Records Team Lead to supervise the medical records department.
