- The IT End Point Imaging Technician's main responsibility is setting up and configuring new and used IT end points in our central imaging center. This includes unboxing, labeling, configuring, and packaging desktops, laptops, tablets, cell phones, and other IT devices.
- Unbox, label, configure, and package new or used laptops, desktops, cell phones, tablets, and other IT devices in the computer imaging center at HIT warehouse.
- Complete device staging using established processes and tools.
- Install software, enforce device security requirements, and ensure compliance with hardware/software standards.
- Record asset tag information for Active Directory, CMDB database, and inventory tracking systems.
- Connect hardware to the network for imaging, configuration, and setup. Establish initial network connectivity for new devices following procedures. Troubleshoot as needed for successful imaging.
- Prepare and pack IT equipment, collaborating with warehouse staff for equipment movement.
- Configure multiple machines simultaneously with attention to detail in a mass production environment.
- Communicate status of device imaging tasks promptly and report any deviations from standards to leadership.
- Complete assigned tasks within project timelines, identifying and addressing potential risks.
- Participate in developing risk reduction recommendations and issue solutions.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year experience in Windows, iOS, Android, computer hardware configurations, and software troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and software applications. Ability to diagnose and resolve basic IT issues.
- Ability to follow instructions with great attention to detail. Team player with strong relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Basic understanding of Active Directory and SCCM; preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in technical support or PC deployment roles; preferred but not required.
