The GEICO Financial Systems team, which supports the Office of the CFO, has exciting opportunities for top performing systems analysts/leaders to join our team
These positions will provide many opportunities to drive financial processing innovation and will provide exposure to many facets of company operations which impact corporate financial processing and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Executing, coordinating and/or managing all aspects of the systems development life cycle. This will include, but not limited to, planning, requirements gathering, analysis, design, system configuration, testing, and creating and executing detailed test plans
- Organizing and planning project work, to include the development project plans and contributing to the development of roadmaps
- Leading or guiding analysts through project work, providing guidance and mentorship. (Proven leadership qualifications are essential)
- Ability to communicate with associates and management at all levels of the organization, including the ability to collaborate with key stakeholders to meet project timelines and deliverables
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or information systems (or equivalent financials degree with specific relevant experience)
- The ability to work in a demanding, fastpaced environment, including the ability to pivot as necessary to successfully drive projects to completion as priorities shift and user expectations evolve is essential to succeed in this position.
- Understanding of financials concepts, and financials processing and controls
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to lead and manage multiple system projects at one time
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, time management and communication (both verbal and written) skills
- Extensive project organization, coordination and management experience with systems related projects
- Proven analytical and problemsolving ability.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Workday Financials
- Understanding of, and experience with, change management processes and communication
Expectations:
- This hybrid position reports to Chevy Chase, MD.
