    About the Rol

    Responsible for the implementation of the reimbursement strategy for the organization.

    Supports all aspects of the reimbursement department operations including meeting all cash, accounts receivable (AR), and days sales outstanding (DSO) goals as established by the CRO and CEO.

    Ensures the timely, accurate submission and collection of all patient and customer accounts. Strategic and Operational responsibility for New Markets Admission Team.

    Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

    Service Areas:
    Birmingham, AL. May travel to Columbia, SC and Pawleys Island, SC as needed.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    Experience/Education:

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
    • Bachelor's degree or 10 years of experience.
    Experience Required: 5 years job related if has Bachelor's degree, 10 years without; 5 years leadership experience.

    • Ability to cope with ambiguous, changing environment while under pressure in a calm manner.
    • Must be able to work as a team member and develop productive and cooperative working relationships with all members of the Palmetto Infusion/AccuRX team.

    Essential Functions:

    • Leads and oversees the development and implementation of operating and strategic plans for the patient services department, including but not limited to, intake, benefit verification, prior authorization, qualifying patients for service and scheduling.
    • Responsible for monitoring and responding to any legislation/regulatory billing changes to include assessing financial impact of regulatory changes on net revenue.
    • Develop key relationships with Payers and Industry leaders to respond to trends in Managed Care industry in order to drive necessary changes and improvements in revenue cycle management activities.
    • Consult and collaborate with peers, payers, and with technology resources to develop and implement key processes and resource needs to improve operations, productivity and collection rates.
    • Ensure the identification, analysis, and implementation of solutions designed to improve collection rates, reduce bad debt and reduce day sales outstanding.
    • Lead and support large revenue cycle projects such as audits, budgets and technology enhancements.
    • Collaborates with internal resources to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines.
    • Ensures compliance in all aspects of revenue cycle activities including coding and billing rules and regulations by payer and state.
    • Develops and implements new business strategies and solutions to improve efficiencies and drive excellence in customer service.
    • Develops and monitors key performance indicators for service excellence, quality, and productivity.
    • Fosters a team environment that sets high standards of operations and performance, engages and inspires other to perform at their best, identifies and develops key individuals with critical capabilities needed by the organization.

    Physical Demands:

Specific vision abilities required by this job include reading, distance, computer, and color vision. Talking and hearing are essential to communicate with patients, vendors, and staff.
