    **Description**

    **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**

    Ensure the profitability of the dealership by overseeing the various department which include variable operations (sales & financing), fixed operations (service & parts), and the business office (accounting & administration).

    Plan, motivate, and coordinate the dealerships management through leadership and solid business practices.

    Plan and develop short and long-term goals and objectives annually and submit time projections to corporate management for approval.

    Effectively communicate with the leadership and relevant stakeholders on a weekly basis to review departmental forecasts and ensure consistency with annual projections.

    Pay close attention to daily operations, recommend, and create improved courses of action where necessary.

    Explain and enforce the policies and procedures of the dealership to all employees and follow up with employees to ensure that these issues are understood and followed.

    Provide dealership management with weekly reports on the financial condition of the dealership.

    Oversee the monthly financial statement to ensure it is complete, accurate and submitted on time to the management/dealership owners.

    Coordinate with the business/administrative office to ensure that records and analyses are correctly maintained.

    Create and maintain good working relationships with lending institutions and manufacturer (GM, Ford, etc.) personnel

    Coordinate regular meetings with the managers of each department to ensure their profitability and efficiency.

    Hire all management positions, completing performance evaluations regularly and develop short and long-term goals for each department manager (includes administrative, sales, parts, collision, and service departments). Oversee training of all department managers.

    Maintain an enthusiastic attitude to build positive employee attitudes and morale.

    Create cost-effective advertising programs and merchandising strategies for the dealership.

    Focus on any customer complaints that department managers are unable to rectify and taking the necessary steps to resolve these complaints.

    **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:**

    Strong business maturity, professionalism, interpersonal, management leadership, analytical, and relationship building skills.

    Strong demonstrated leadership and organizational skills

    Ability to understand profit and loss statements

    Demonstrated track record of managing a large, diverse staff.

    Skilled and experienced in communications processes and tools. Articulate, with strong skills in written and oral communication

    Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)

    **EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:**

    A high school diploma is required; bachelors degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or retail sales is preferred.

    State-specific Motor Vehicle Salesperson License

    A strong background in business, mathematics, and computers

    At least seven years of dealership sales, and five years in a supervisory position.

    Experience in other dealership departments is a plus.

    Valid Drivers License

    **PHYSICAL DEMANDS:**

    Walking, standing, sitting, listening, and talking on a wide variety and continual basis

    Movement generally throughout the facility areas required on a continual basis

    Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

    Ability to stand for long periods of time

    Able to operate motor vehicles to meet possible travel requirement
