Dead River Company is seeking a General Manager for our Woodstock, Vermont Market

  • The General Manager would be expected to live within the market territory.

As a key contributor to the Company's overall success, the primary responsibility of this role is to oversee energy distribution and service operations.

The General Manager will lead the team to achieve an elevated level of customer satisfaction and loyalty while continuing to grow our business throughout Central Vermont.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Oversee day to day operations, manage weekly, monthly, and yearly performance goals to ensure success and profitability in the market.
  • Develop strategic plan for optimized productivity in all areas of the business.
  • Assess and improve organizational effectiveness by developing processes, overseeing employees, establishing a highly motivational work environment, and implementing innovative changes to grow the business.
  • Uphold the highest standard of customer experience by developing a team that will deliver excellent service and maintain a positive reputation in the community we serve.
  • Seek out opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationships.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to the team to support and strengthen specific knowledge and skills.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:


  • A bachelor's degree in business administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • An individual who will thrive in a fastpaced environment and is comfortable being part of a business undergoing significant growth and change.
  • An individual who is approachable, trustworthy, and dependable, with exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills.
