Description
The Administrative Coordinator provides support for effective business operations to the School of Education. The position serves as the primary contact for visitors to the main office.

The coordinator supports the finance and business functions of the school:
procurement, contracts. Supervises and trains student assistants in office management and supports department staff and faculty project requests. Supports the processes of school communications, programs and events. Reports to Administrative Manager in the School of Education.

Responsibilities:


  • Performs the tasks to secure and process purchase orders, check requests and payment verification processes.
  • Performs necessary tasks for processing of faculty contracts, alternate work assignments and independent contractor agreements.
  • Routes external contracts through the administrative processes.
  • Support the office functions for necessary supplies, equipment and material orders.
  • Supports the hiring and onboarding processes of school.
  • Maintains the information of the School CANVAS community and two student CANVAS communities. Supports the social media platforms of the school. Supports the maintenance of web content for the school.
  • Supports event planning and coordinates the set up with university departments (catering, IT, Public Safety, Mail and Print, University Relations).
  • Facilitates logistics and technical support for face to face or virtual school meetings and school events.
  • Supports school data requests and collection requirements of the school by reports, collection and filing of documents.

Qualifications:


  • Interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Effective communicator in written and verbal
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to think critically
  • Detail oriented
  • Able to organize and plan effectively
  • Data entry experience
  • Proficient Google suite, Microsoft
  • Experience with CANVAS or similar learning platform.
