    Description

    Dunwoody College of Technology is happy to announce an open position as an Adjunct Instructor in our Constitution Management program. We are seeking a dedicated educator, passionate about shaping the minds of our future industry leaders.

    In this role you will be reasonable for modeling how to develop projects, grow a business and providing students with a how-to guide on building a successful team.

    This role calls for a dynamic individual committed to creating a nurturing learning environment that fosters continuous improvement and encourages students to reach their full potential.

    Course Name: CMGT3121 Construction Estimating II

    Course Description:Advanced analysis of the quantity surveying, cost estimating, and bidding methods of building

    construction using current industry practices and methods to oversee and manage the successful procurement of projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Facilitates learning activities so that students learn the principles, theory, skills, and work ethic necessary to become proficient for entry level positions.
    • Creates a positive learning environment.
    • Monitors, assesses and advises learner on technical and academic progress and performance.
    • Uses current academic and industry practices in assigned courses of instruction.
    • Develops and upgrades lesson material, training aids and maintains equipment within assigned course of instruction.
    • Assists in the recruitment and placement of learners.
    • Leads the process of maintaining equipment and recommends new equipment purchases within assigned program.
    • As a part of a team, designs and develops new curriculum within assigned program.
    • Provides support, coaching, and guidance to faculty members.
    • Participates in industry and/or professional organizations in order to maintain and enhance program health and academic integrity.

    Qualifications

    Candidates must meet one of the following criteria

    • All faculty teaching in the associate and certificate construction management programs will meet one of the following criteria:
      • A bachelor's degree in a construction management related field; OR
      • An associate's degree in a construction management related field and professional certification in the content area which they are teaching and related industry experience
    • Faculty teaching in the Construction Management baccalaureate program will meet one of the following qualifications:
      • Have a master's degree in a related field; OR
      • Have a bachelor's degree in construction management or
      • related field and certification in their area of expertise and
      • related industry experience.
