    Description

    We are hiring Team Leaders to join our Seasonal Team during Peach Season 2024 This position will last approximately May through August, 2024.

    The Peach Truck Team Leader enables a consistent experience for our customers by ensuring the product is fresh, available, and merchandised. They are experts of operations, processes, and efficiency. More importantly, they teach, train, and develop our teams. Team leads manage a wide variety of processes including replenishment, inventory accuracy, and food safety. Team Leaders are also responsible for scheduling, team development (giving and receiving feedback regularly), and holding teams accountable to consistently delivering on our peach truck brand expectations.

    • Knowledge of customer service fundamentals and experience building a customer-first culture on your team.
    • Knowledge of Food & Retail business fundamentals: category sales trends, freshness and quality, inventory management, customer shopping patterns, and marketing and promotions strategies.
    • Skills in planning daily/weekly workload and coordinating scheduling/staffing to support company priorities and deliver sales goals.
    • Experience leading a team of hourly team members; including skills in developing, coaching, evaluating, and retaining talent.

    As a Team Leader, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:

    • Understand sales goals, plan and execute daily/weekly workload to deliver on location-specific sales goals and customer engagement, including merchandising, sampling, and upselling.
    • Execute a fresh, full, and food-safe area during all operating hours leveraging strong inventory management, area routines, and Food Safety policies and procedures.
    • Assess location readiness and safety of all selling areas; apply The Peach Truck Standards to identify priorities and develop business plans and assignments; review reporting to identify business trends for follow-up.
    • Ensure proper execution of all food safety standards and cleaning routines.
    • Validate and follow up on team members' progress against Daily Assignments, selling area routines, and application of best practices.
    • Work a schedule that aligns with customer and business needs (this includes morning, afternoon, and early evening shifts and weekends).
    • Establish relationships with local site management to ensure brand standards such as delivery and merchandising are being met and selling areas are full and maintained.
    • Lead your team to uphold and maintain all Brand Standards and foster a productive relationship with your Peach Truck Brand Manager, following up on key takeaways from their time spent with you.
    • Expect and enable team members to stay up-to-date on relevant trends and products including peach conditioning knowledge and awareness.
    • Evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions and develop a customer-centric team.
    • Lead team onboarding and learning and close knowledge gaps through training and experiences.
    • Establish clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable to expectations.
    • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the customer service experience. Model, train and coach expectations to deliver the service standard.
    • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; Lead the team to work in the same way and hold others accountable for this commitment.
    • Lead and create a safety advocacy culture by understanding how safety impacts your role and that of your team, identifying and correcting hazards, and holding team accountable to working safely to benefit themselves and others.
    • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias.
    • Address stop needs (emergency, regulatory visits, etc).
    • Support customer services such as back-up slinger, CEE and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
    • All other duties based on business needs.

    The good news is that we have some amazing training that will help teach you everything you need to know to be a Team Leader. But, there are a few skills you should have from the get-go:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
    • Previous retail and/or food experience preferred, but not required.
    • Strong interest and knowledge of the retail business.
    • Leadership experience including holding others accountable.
    • Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs, work independently and as part of a team, and prioritize tasks independently.
    • Welcoming and helpful attitude.
    • Effective communication skills.
