- Craft compelling messages and storylines that effectively communicate the company's purpose and leadership.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure positive coverage.
- Oversee the creation of impactful press releases, articles, and communications materials.
- Oversee the planning of media interviews and PR events.
- Collaborate with executives and spokespeople and prepare them for media engagements and public appearances.
- Monitor media coverage and results, tracking impact and deriving insights to refine PR strategies.
- Manage issues and coordinate with internal subject matter experts.
- Manage crisis communications activities to mitigate reputational risk.
- Manage and motivate the PR team, setting objectives and monitoring performance.
- Oversee PR agency relationships to ensure successful outcomes aligned with goals and strategies.
- Monitor and report on relevant industry trends, events, and opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with marketing, legal, investor relations, and other departments to ensure cohesive external communications.
- This role requires minimal travel.
- Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements).
- 5 years of experience in a PR leadership role within the software, technology, or infrastructure sectors, preferably in a publicly traded company.
- 10+ years' experience working in PR or communications.
- Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, marketing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align PR strategies and plans with business objectives.
- Demonstrated success in enhancing brand reputation and securing positive media coverage.
- Experience elevating and leading teams & working with executives on communication strategies.
