Youth Work Officer (m/f/d)

The German Red Cross in the district of Böblingen provides a variety of social services in cooperation with its 24 local branches.

These include civil protection and disaster relief, medical and care services, emergency rescue, patient transport, youth work, and school first aid.

The work of our full-time and volunteer staff is coordinated and supported at the DRK Center on the airfield in Sindelfingen.

We are currently seeking a Youth Education Officer (m/f/d) to care for around 900 young members between the ages of 6 and 17 in the DRK local branches in the district of Böblingen, with a workload of 50 to 70%.

Your tasks:

Training and further education, as well as professional advice for volunteer group leaders in the association
Administrative tasks such as correspondence, budgeting, subsidy applications, etc.
Planning, preparation, and implementation of youth education and support for leisure activities
Collaboration with the volunteer district youth leadership
Support for the volunteer district youth leadership
Conceptual development of youth work in the Youth Red Cross and school first aid service

You offer us:

Completed degree in social work (diploma in social pedagogy or bachelor's degree in social work), teaching degree, or a comparable qualification
Leadership experience in youth association work
