Sperry, IA is seeking a Supervisor (m/w/d) for our Purchasing department at our Diamant Factory in Germany. As a Supervisor in our Purchasing department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our production runs smoothly and optimizing our supply chain processes and inventory.

Your responsibilities will include representing the Head of Purchasing, leading and training a team of 8 employees, forecasting and placing orders, managing general purchasing, monitoring order confirmations, assisting in supplier selection and negotiations, handling complaints, and maintaining data in our IT systems.

You will also collaborate closely with other departments such as product management, logistics, sales, and finance within our international corporation.

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of purchasing processes and the ability to handle challenges. You should also possess qualities such as assertiveness, resilience, and teamwork, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Reliability, flexibility, and organizational skills are also important, as well as a willingness to travel to visit our suppliers (approximately 10% of your working time).

A degree in business or logistics, or a minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in a manufacturing setting, is required.
