The Marketing Conference Coordinator is an ambitious, creative, and results-driven team member and will manage conference participation across all Mercalis service lines.
They will work with key Mercalis personnel to manage all facets of Mercalis conference attendance tactics to maximize ROI on the conference spend.
This role is responsible for the management of key third-party vendor relationships related to conference spend. They should be adept at working at a high level among internal and external stakeholders.This role helps to fuel our sales growth through support of our Business Development team and continues to establish Mercalis as a thought-leader in its various markets.
Responsibilities:
Utilize Mercalis leadership competencies as the driving force behind the teams success
On time adherence to training deadlines for all corporate policies and procedures governing access to confidential data
Ensure all SOPs are followed with consistency
Work cross-functionally to contribute to marketing strategies and campaign content development for all Mercalis service lines (e.g., Physician Education & Awareness, Patient Services, Patient Engagement, Payer Policy Intelligence, Clinical Trial Support, Risk Mitigation & Compliance)
Manages conference vendor relationships, including attendance, billing, level of participation, and all logistics
Assists with travel and lodging for Mercalis conference attendees
Works with Mercalis Subject Matter Experts to establish presentation topics for various conferences; includes submitting slide decks to conference organizer in a timely manner
Maintain ownership of conference booths for each supply line and their respective approved messaging, which must follow established Mercalis brand guidelines.
This includes shipping/return of Mercalis booth materials and related materialsManages all digital and printed sales collateral to ensure Mercalis sales personnel have the most updated sell materials
Collaborates with other team members to establish a pre-conference objective as well as a postconference wrap-up
Schedules and coordinates Executive Leadership meetings two or three times per yearm as well as Sales Team meetings that occur twice per yearConducts miscellaneous tasks or projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required
3-5 years of conference management experience preferred
Pharmaceutical/Life Science experience preferred
Meeting planning or Marketing experience preferred
Possesses strong leadership skills (e.g. influencing without authority, leading cross-functional teams, problem-solving, decision-making, collaboration)
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage time well
