The Chapman Firm is a growing boutique Austin firm that serves the construction and business industries in Texas through transactional, litigation, and outside general counsel services. Our lawyers practice construction law, business law, and employment law.
The Firm has enjoyed steady growth since its founding 10 years ago, and we are looking to add an additional attorney to support our current clients. We are looking for a lawyer with 5+ years of litigation experience. Knowledge of construction law is a plus, but our focus is finding self-motivated attorneys who are able and willing to learn a new field and manage and direct litigation.

At the Chapman Firm, we focus on and promote a healthy firm culture that creates a vibrant and fun place to work. Because our firm promotes and encourages a collaborative approach to client services, candidates must be in Austin or willing to relocate to Austin. This is an in-person position.
Responsibilities for the position include the following:
· Manage and direct litigation;
· Interface between senior partners, associates, and support staff;
· Draft and argue motions in litigation and arbitration;
· Manage written and oral discovery;
· Take and defend depositions;
· Draft mediation position statements;
· Try cases –final hearings and trials;
· Attend site inspections and other in-person discovery events related to a dispute;
· Communicate with clients to evaluate, manage, and resolve claims and disputes.
Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Texas.
The Chapman Firm offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
