    Community Based Pharmacy Data Analyst


    Position Highlights:


    Nebraska Medicine is now taking applications for a talented individual to join us as an Experienced Community Based Pharmacy Data Analyst in our Retail/Specialty Pharmacy department and will focus on data and reporting.

    This position works at our Central Fill location for Nebraska Medicine and the office is located at approx. 114th and Dodge in Omaha, NE as well as having the opportunity to work remotely.


    An ideal candidate for this role will be someone from Healthcare or Pharmacy background (EPIC) and preferred to have Tableau and SQL knowledge or experience.

    To be consider for this role candidates must be residing in Nebraska or Iowa State.


    Shift:

    • 1st shift - Full Time - Benefits Eligible (1.0 FTE)
    • Hybrid Role
    • Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts 8-4 PM or 9-5PM

    Community Based Pharmacy Data Analyst:


    Support the operational efficiency of the Retail/Specialty Pharmacy Department by coordinating fiscal management activities, performing data analysis, and maintaining departmental statistics and reports.

    Develop, prepare, and maintain quality data analytics that will be utilized by pharmacy leadership and management across various settings and promote new opportunities for the pharmacy department, thus enhancing efficiency and resulting in optimal revenue.

    Data base development, pharmacy expertise, project management, and analytical skills and design will be employed to work with a range of end users.


    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, health science, business, finance or related healthcare field OR equivalent combination of education/experience combined (One year of education equals one year of experience) required.
    • Minimum of three years of healthcare or pharmacy experience required.
    • Proficient knowledge and ability to employ systems analysis and quality assurance concepts, techniques, industry best practices, tools and standards required.
    • Strong communication both written and verbal, interpersonal, and rapport-building skills required.
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
    • Analytical skills necessary to apply expertise to problems and/or increase operational efficiency with systems required.
    • Ability to analyze the functionality of systems and their fit within specifications required.
    • Proven ability to multi-task and to act independently with minimal supervision is required.
    • Proficient in the creation and evaluation of data using Access, Tableau, SQL queries, Oracle, crystal reports and/or other databases required.
    • Ability to interpret financial/statistical data and make sound recommendations based on that information required. Ability to anticipate user requirements and meet those needs in an appropriate and timely manner is required.
    • Ability to prioritize organization requirements and track progress of multiple initiatives required.
    • Registered as a pharmacy technician with the State of Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services required.
    • Pharmacy Technician Certification required within one year of hire.
    • Understanding of 340B regulations and impact on pharmacy operations required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in negotiation or a computerized inventory control environment depending on position preferred.
    • Knowledge of hospital financial systems is preferred.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
    • Experience in performance improvement and project management preferred.
    • Apexus OnDemand 340B Certificate within 6 months of hire preferred.
