    The North American Stores Marketing and Creative (NASMC) team is seeking an innovative and self-directed Sr. Art Director.

    The ideal candidate is an experienced Art Director whose passion for creative is matched by their skills to drive on-site photo art direction and build imaging guidelines.

    This role builds concepts and orchestrates live photoshoots to create compelling content for High-Velocity Events (HVE) like Prime Day, engaging seasonal events (Easter, Valentine's, Mother's & Father's Day, Halloween), and the beloved Prime membership program.

    Art Director excels in complex, fast-paced environments and is gifted in crafting truly, distinctive, and visually compelling ideas, even amidst the most intricate business and customer challenges.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Lead development of innovative photography concepts from ideation to delivery.
    • Translate strategy into imagery (product, and lifestyle photoshoots) crafting creative concepts into final imagery that meets a high bar and is reflective of leadership expectations.
    • Run all art direction tasks associated with our internal imaging studio from AD deck to re-touch notes to final delivery.
    • Provide clear communication to partner teams and the internal studio team.
    • Act as a positive owner/team player who does not hesitate to jump in when additional support is needed. About the teamThe Creative & Design team is an award-winning, self-directed center of excellence providing end-to-end customer experiences for NA Stores and Prime. We shape Amazon's retail future by integrating strategy, innovative technology, and user experience to create solutions and explorative studies that innovate for our businesses. We create intuitive, personalized, and visually appealing on- and off site cross-category shopping journeys so customers engage with new, popular, and relevant products, programs, and brands. We drive incremental cross-category discovery and engagement through integrated customer-facing features and experiences that matter.

    Seattle, WA, USABasic qualifications- Bachelor's degree or higher in Graphic Design, Visual Design, or related field- 6+ years of professional experience in an Art Direction or Graphic Design role- 6+ years managing workflows, agency partnerships, and complex design campaigns and programs- 6+ years of photo art direction- 6+ years of experience managing multiple design projects, requests, and scheduling in a fast-paced environment- 6+ years of professional experience collaborating with creative and technical teams- 6+ years of exemplified mastery of the principals of design, color theory, typography, and graphics file creation optimized for digital and printPreferred qualification - Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote- Experience developing cross-functional relationships with product, consumer research and marketing teams to develop strategy and consumer insights that drive compelling creative executions- Experience leading creative development of innovative creative from concept to delivery- Experience presenting creative concepts effectively to senior executives- Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlinesAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.

    The base pay for this position ranges from $113,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,300/year in our highest geographic market.

    Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
