    Description

    Construction Coordinator for the relocation of West Boulevard in Charlotte, NC

    As Construction Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of the West Boulevard Relocation project. You will be the on-site liaison between Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT), the Contractor, and the Engineer of Record, responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of the project, ensuring compliance with specifications, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. ****

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Construction Observation: Conduct continual observation (not inspection) of roadway grading, paving, curb & gutter, drainage, erosion control, signals, and utilities.
    2. Technical Expertise: Apply your expertise to provide interpretation of contract plans and specifications. Review submittals for conformance with plans and specifications. Confirm change order requests, develop estimates, negotiate costs, and write change orders.
    3. Team Coordination: Coordinate with the Program Management Team on the development and execution of the project management plan.Coordinate with the Engineer of Record to resolve technical field issues for timely and accurate responses to requests for information. ****
    4. Monitor Project Controls: Develop strategies with the contractor to create submittal packages that conform to schedule requirements. Review and coordinate contractor's schedules. Review cost control and quality control on project.
    5. Documentation and Reporting: Serve as the main point of contact for CLT, providing regular updates on project progress, and addressing any concerns or issues during construction. Maintain accurate project documentation, including field reports and other relevant records.
