- Serve as the main resource for data analytics, visualization, and GIS within the Rezoning Program Area.
- Create GIS features, maps, and mailing lists to aid the rezoning process.
- Provide support to other Planning Divisions with data analysis and mapping requests.
- Assist in data analysis and mapping for significant community-wide initiatives like the Charlotte Future 2040 Comprehensive Plan and the Charlotte Unified Development Ordinance.
- Build relationships with other city departments to foster collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with city-wide policies on data publication, maintenance, and security.
- Embrace continuous learning and self-improvement.
- Undertake other assigned duties.
- Demonstrated proficiency in GIS concepts, creating visually appealing maps, and managing geospatial data.
- Familiarity with urban planning and land development principles.

- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Geography, Landscape Architecture, Engineering, Political Science, Public Administration, or related field.

- Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS 10.7, ArcGIS Online, Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with geodatabase data model.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Scenario Planning concepts is a plus.
- One to three years of professional planning experience required.
