    Location Overview:
    Carlton Forge Works is known for producing seamless rolled rings, open and closed-die forgings for various industries including aerospace and gas turbine.

    Job Summary: Reporting to the Associate Operations Manager, the CNC Machinist is accountable for safely machining parts within specified tolerances as outlined on the blueprint.

    Core Performance Indicators:
    • Adherence to safety protocols
    • Compliance with Preventative Maintenance Schedule
    • Capacity to handle parts without causing damage
    • Accurate and prompt record-keeping
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Adhere to the PCC Code of Conduct regulations.
    • Execute all tasks in a safe and cooperative manner, reporting any potential hazards promptly.
    • Promote and comply with safety practices, including the usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
    • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and/or tools.
    • Read and interpret CNC programs accurately.
    • Stack and arrange parts on pallets using a forklift.
    • Inspect parts upon completion.
    • Maintain accurate daily logs and equipment maintenance records.
    • Keep work area clean and orderly.
    • Communicate effectively with team members and management.
    • Perform other assigned duties.
    Requirements:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent, Technical certification preferred
    • Basic math skills including weight calculations
    • Ability to read & understand CNC programs
    • Experience with Fanuc controls & Mori Seiki CNC's preferred
    • Basic understanding of manufacturing documents in English
    • Ability to troubleshoot and take initiative
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Team player with the ability to work overtime if needed
    • Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs
    Desired Qualifications:
    • Knowledge of metal work processes
    • Experience with forklift and overhead crane operations
    Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
    Daily job duties include standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, and talking. Visual abilities and physical strength are vital for this role.
    The work environment includes exposure to mechanical parts, weather conditions, and various potential hazards.

    Salary Range:
    CNC Machinist Level 1 - $23.75 - $34.75 per hour
