Position Title: Branch Inventory Coordinator
Department: Administration
Reports to: Office Manager
Position Type: Regular full-time
General Summary
This position is responsible for participating in inventory management activities to ensure required inventory levels.
Essential Job Functions
1. Print daily pick tickets for warehouse to pull material for installations.
2. Receive daily vendor purchase orders and internal stock transfers into JDE to ensure inventory is available for sales order pick tickets. Research and resolve PO discrepancies.
3. Ship confirm daily, ensuring items that have been picked up for installs reflect the proper status in JDE.
4. Assign correct installer to purchase order and receive labor PO once installation is complete.
5. Coordinate weekly inventory cycle counts from Supply Chain with Warehouse Manager, reviewing count data and submitting for adjustments.
6. Coordinate with Warehouse Manager to plan and release branch demands for stock items.
7. Monitor inventory shortages and excess.
8. Report defects and damages to claim department for inventory replacement.
9. Create and ship confirm all stock transfers to the Central Warehouse, returning excess material and/or claim items.
10. Maintain inventory location accuracy in JDE and complete bin transfers.
11. Reconcile weekly reports: ready to bill (595 report), backorder (902 report), and ship confirm (560 report).
12. Participate in material return process.
13. Attend weekly administrative meetings.
14. Interface with other departmental team members to solve problems that cross departments.
15. Other inventory, administrative, and clerical duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
2. Proficiency in Oracle, JD Edwards, SAP, and/or PeopleSoft a plus.
3. Ability to interface with business partners and across departments.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to provide creative solutions to real-time challenges.
5. Ability to multi-task.
Education and Experience
1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. 2-3 years of practical inventory management and/or purchasing experience a plus.
3. Warehousing experience a plus.
Other Requirements
1. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to operate a computer keyboard.
2. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
3. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
4. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
5. Travel required: negligible
