    Balfour Beatty Company is seeking a Project Engineer in Plantation, Florida If you have a passion for what you do, a strong drive to achieve results, the ability to solve problems creatively, and a dedication to client service and relationship management, come join us.

    The Project Engineer is an entry level position that assists the Project Manager and Sr. Project Engineer with the planning and daily execution of the construction project.

    Responsible for maintaining certain aspects of the project schedule, as assigned by the Project Manager, by managing the process of submittal approvals, coordinating the timely delivery of materials and maintaining schedules and budgets to ensure projects are completed with quality, profitability and while complying with our Safety/Zero Harm culture.

    Essential Functions

    Project Financial Responsibilities
    Preconstruction Services
    Project Start-up and Scheduling
    Project Administration, Coordination, and Close-out
    Promote Customer Relations
    Promote Culture, Leadership and Employee Development

    Minimum Requirements

    B.S. (Construction Management degrees preferred)
    One six month intern co-op with a construction company
    Proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, the internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook)

    Preferred Experience

    One to three years of previous working experience

    RFI
    Change orders
    Submittals
    Punch-list
    Assisting with sub-contractor meeting minutes.
