    Description

    Established in 1996, NOVA was originally founded to provide Environmental Consulting, Geotechnical Engineering, and Construction Materials Testing and Inspection services to the design and construction community, largely in the southeastern United States.     NOVA Engineering is immediately seeking a CMT Project Engineer in our Ft Lauderdale, FL office.

    Primary responsibilities will include:

    • Staff/project engineering duties including data reduction, analysis & fieldwork for commercial, industrial, retail, government, office and residential projects (both Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Testing/Inspection)
    • Assisting with project management & reporting
    • Report preparation
    • Client consultation and maintenance
    • Providing assistance to other NOVA team members to promote the overall objectives of the company.

    The preferred candidate will have:

    • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
    • 5+ years of experience in construction testing/inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt materials is required
    • Successfully passing the PE exam is required
    • Strong communication skills

    Currently, NOVA employs 650+ personnel in 18 offices serving clients throughout the southeastern United States and beyond. Our firm has professional and administrative support staff that includes registered professional engineers, registered professional geologists, environmental scientists, registered roof observers, LEED accredited professionals, soil/foundation engineers, laboratory specialists, materials technicians, ICC-certified inspectors, NICET-certified technicians, and AWS-certified welding inspectors. NOVAs facilities include AASHTO-accredited laboratories in soils, concrete, aggregate and hot-mix asphalt testing/inspection. We also have CCRL-inspected laboratories for concrete sampling, curing, and testing.
