- Lead requirements development, decomposition and traceability to ensure customer requirements are satisfied
- Lead program level V&V team through successful planning and execution of validation and verification
- Provide experienced systems engineering support to technical teams in the development, documentation, build, test, and verification of subsystems, payloads, vehicles, and ground systems
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand program requirements and ensure strong, continued communications throughout the lifecycle of the mission
- Support test plan development and creation in support of V&V activities
- Support other systems engineering tasks such as ConOps development, and interface definition between teams
- Support system and lower-level requirements management, including change control, audits, and coordination with other teams
- Leverage systems engineering tools, processes, and best practices to validate and verify the system
- Mentor other system engineers assigned to the team
- Proficiency in using requirements database tools (e.g. DOORS, Jama, Cameo Requirements Modeler)
- Demonstrated ability to create and review effective and verifiable requirements
- Demonstrated experience in systems engineering processes, including requirements development, requirement allocation, interface management, change management, verification and validation
- Demonstrated Systems Engineering experience across all technical disciplines of a space system
- Strong understanding of fundamental test and evaluation processes
- Experience with NASA or DoD systems engineering practices and expectations
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar discipline
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Self-motivated, focused, and driven to meet critical deadlines
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering tools such as Cameo or others
- Experience delivering a system through the entire product lifecycle, from program kickoff through delivery
- Experience creating high-quality Customer contractual deliverables
