Job Description

As an experienced Gas Systems Engineer (m/w/d) at West Point, you will be responsible for the development and conceptualization of construction plans for gas technical systems. You will work closely with the engineering team to develop innovative solutions for the processing and transportation of natural gas.

Perform basic and detailed engineering for the design of gas technical systems
Create technical drawings for process and P&ID diagrams, as well as pipe, location, and layout plans using modern 3D CAD programs
Prepare and archive CAD documentation
Conduct elasticity calculations and create pipe constructions and pipe isometrics
Coordinate and manage external engineering firms

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in construction engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field, or a completed apprenticeship as a state-certified technician (m/w/d) or technical draftsman (m/w/d) with a focus on construction
Several years of professional experience in construction and technical drawing in the gas industry
Proficiency in modern 2D and 3D CAD programs, as well as knowledge of elasticity calculation programs
Good knowledge of standards and guidelines for high-pressure gas pipelines
Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
