- Supporting the Teen Court Program Manager in developing and executing effective programs.
- Evaluating and monitoring program impact.
- Handling administrative tasks such as answering calls, replying to emails, scheduling workshops, and aiding in court hearings.
- Organizing and leading Teen Court workshops for participating teens and families, providing necessary training materials and support.
- Offering mentorship, resources, and guidance to program participants.
- Maintaining partnerships with community collaborators and promoting program services.
- Assisting in creating and conducting presentations for schools, businesses, and community organizations.
- Staying informed on legislative changes and updating presentations and training materials accordingly.
- Participating in recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising program volunteers.
- Understanding of Restorative Justice principles.
- Demonstrated cultural competence and ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Familiarity with court systems and legal terminology.
- Awareness of Mandatory Reporting requirements.
- Capacity to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and conflict resolution abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and computer literacy.
- Effective presentation and facilitation capabilities.
- Solid planning and organizational skills.
- Availability to work some evenings and weekends as required.
- Associate degree in social services or related field.
- 2 years of experience working with youth and families in an educational capacity.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR (can be obtained upon hiring).
- Fingerprint clearance (can be obtained upon hiring).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Bachelor's degree in social services or related field.
- Experience in juvenile court, youth, and family services.

Position Summary:
The Teen Court Program Coordinator plays a vital role in providing administrative assistance and overseeing the coordination of the Pima County Teen Court Program. This program, led by peers, focuses on diverting juvenile court cases using restorative justice principles, service learning, and positive youth development to prevent repeat offenses. Teen Court engages youth aged 12-17 referred by the Pima County Juvenile Court, guiding them through a process that includes taking responsibility for their actions, receiving feedback from community peers, and completing constructive consequences set by a peer jury.
The standout feature of Teen Court is the involvement of trained young volunteers serving as various court roles, emphasizing positive peer influence and parental engagement.
