Title: Entrepreneur-in-Residence, Griffiths Center for Collaboration and Innovation

Hartwick College's Griffiths Center for Collaboration and Innovation seeks an individual for targeted student interactions, campus-wide programming, and entrepreneurship program development.

This is a part-time, temporary appointment from July 1, 2024 through May 30, 2025.

Responsibilities
Targeted Student Interaction:

Identify external opportunities for groups of students to engage in innovation, business planning & pitching, and/or community engagement challenges.
Market the opportunities to the student body and mentor 2-3 selected student teams in those opportunities over the course of the academic year, possibly in the context of a new student organization
Prepare a final report on the opportunity, including suggestions for structuring future iterations of the same.

Campus-wide Programming:

Interface and partner with campus offices (e.g., Office of Admissions, Office of Student Experience, First Year Experience Office, Office of College Advancement, Office of Career Development) to co-sponsor 2-3 campus innovation workshops targeted towards current students, prospective students, and/or alumni, as appropriate.

Entrepreneurship Program Development:

Develop and pitch to College administrators a curricular/co-curricular entrepreneurship program for Hartwick College

Pending need and adjunct financing capacity, the individual hired into this position could also be tasked with teaching one course per semester in entrepreneurship through the Department of Business Administration and Accounting. This coursework would be paid for through the adjunct budget of the Office of Academic Affairs. Additional teaching load, with additional stipend, could include the Baker-Simpson preparatory course.
Qualifications: Minimum requirements for this position are a Master's degree in business, design- or entrepreneurship-relevant field from an accredited college or university.

Direct experience with entrepreneurial activity within or beyond academics
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and evidence of successful collaborative work
Understanding of higher education environment and engaging faculty, students and administrators

Pay Range: $25.00 per hour (20 hours per week)
