Job Title:
Construction General Superintendent Responsibilities: 1.
Project Superintendence:
Lead and oversee the successful execution of multiple concurrent construction and service projects. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with specifications. Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. 2.
Manpower Scheduling and Supervision:
Develop comprehensive manpower schedules for all projects, optimizing resource allocation. Supervise all field staff, providing guidance and support. Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement corrective actions as needed. 3.
Field Staff Training and Development:
Identify training needs for field staff, implementing targeted programs. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the construction team. Mentor and coach staff to enhance technical skills and leadership capabilities. 4.
Quality Assurance and Safety Compliance:
Implement and monitor stringent quality control processes across all projects. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations on all construction sites. Investigate and address any issues affecting project quality or safety promptly. 5.
Collaboration and Communication:
Foster effective communication with client and collaboration among field staff, superintendents, and project teams. Participate actively in project meetings, providing updates and addressing concerns. 6. Problem-solving and Decision-making: Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to address challenges in real-time. Make informed decisions that align with project goals and organizational objectives. Anticipate potential issues and proactively implement solutions. 7.
Resource Management:
Efficiently manage resources, including equipment, materials, and personnel. Optimize resource allocation to maximize project efficiency and productivity. Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials. 8.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation. Generate regular reports on project progress, challenges, and solutions. Provide timely updates to client, management, and project teams on the status of ongoing projects.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Construction General Superintendent. 2. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a diverse team. 3. In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials. 4. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. 5. Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office suite. 6. Relevant certifications and licenses. 7. Minimum of 15 years of experience in construction supervision and project management. 8. Currently hold a Secret Security Clearance, Top Secret preferred. 9. USACE CQCM certification preferred
