What You'll Do as a
Prevention Specialist with Brandywine Counseling:

You would be responsible for presenting prevention education.
Establish relationships with various organizations to promote our prevention and organizational goals.
Work closely with various programs collaborating with our organization.
Present educational presentations in the community, attends various taskforce, coalition, and community meetings.
The position encompasses several duties. The Prevention Specialist must have knowledge and a thorough understanding of the agency's various services and collaborated programs to be able to effectively communicate them to them to the community.
Must be detailoriented, have excellent communication and presentation skills.
For this program it is necessary to have experience with children to adolescents as it is the target population. You will be working with individuals aged 17 and under.
It is the responsibility of Prevention Specialist to provide quality, sufficient and appropriate services and for maintaining high professional standards.
This position is primarily a communitybased position, so work will be performed outside of an office setting on a regular and consistent basis.

Qualifications for this position are:

REQUIRED: At least 1-2 years related work experience. Familiarity with the field of substance abuse Prevention.

REQUIRED: For this program it is necessary to have experience with children to adolescents as it is the target population.

REQUIRED: High School Diploma or GED

REQUIRED: Valid driver's license with 2 points or less. Must have own vehicle.
- _PREFERRED_: Bachelor's degree in related social service and/or communications field.
