    The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in ensuring the daily operations run smoothly. This role involves creating schedules, ordering products, aiding in training, hiring, promotions, and strategizing. The ideal candidate should have supervisory experience, provide feedback, set goals, encourage teamwork, and communicate business goals effectively. The AGM must be capable of fulfilling duties when the General Manager is unavailable.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise daily coffee shop operations for seamless workflow.
    • Lead and manage baristas and support staff to foster a positive work environment.
    • Enforce company policies for service and cleanliness standards.
    • Manage inventory, place orders, and maintain supplier relations for quality products.
    • Collaborate with the General Manager on projects and staff management.
    • Cultivate positive relationships with the team.
    • Delegate tasks efficiently.
    • Resolve issues promptly.
    • Oversee staff and inventory control.
    • Model compliance with company policies.
    • Demonstrate leadership by example.
    • Possess strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
    • Exercise keen observation and constructive feedback delivery.
    • Identify areas for improvement and provide necessary coaching.

    Requirements

    • Prior managerial experience in food and beverage, particularly in a coffee shop.
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and inspire a team.
    • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
    • Financial literacy to interpret statements.
    • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
    • Understanding of health and safety protocols.
    • Availability for flexible work hours.
    • Passion for coffee and commitment to customer satisfaction.
