THE POSITION:


DESCRIPTION OF WORK:


In this role, your main responsibility will be to evaluate various types of properties, including residential land, agricultural land, industrial properties, commercial properties, and special purpose properties.

This evaluation is necessary for acquiring the right-of-way for highway improvements. It is crucial that the appraisals accurately reflect the fair market value and compensate for any damages. Additionally, you will need to complete these appraisals within the specified timeframe to meet the project's schedules.


As part of your duties, you will conduct thorough research of courthouse records to gather information about the ownership type, easements, and other recorded covenants related to the properties.

It is essential to have a comprehensive understanding of the deed descriptions.

Furthermore, you will visit the affected properties and interview the owners to gather any additional information that is crucial for an accurate appraisal.

This includes details such as fair market value, depreciation, liens, judgments, gas and mineral rights, and any damages that may have occurred.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:


  • Fulltime employment.
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday
  • Friday, with a 30minute lunch.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time after successful probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the district office in King of Prussia.

QUALIFICATIONS

Special Requirements:


  • This position requires possession of an active Pennsylvania Certified General Real Estate Appraiser certification.
  • This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
