- Teach sections of Biology (9th grade level) and elective course (10th-12th).
- Run engaging and well-managed lab activities.
- Demonstrate scientific concepts through lectures, modeling, and the use of technology.
- Manage the inventory of supplies and laboratory equipment and maintain a well-organized, clean workspace.
- Provide meaningful, individualized feedback and support to students.
- Work closely with colleagues, the department head, and prep school administration to support the academic, social, and emotional well-being of all students.
- Bachelor's degree in Biology or related discipline. An education degree is preferred.
- Run well-managed, meaningful, and engaging classes for high school students.
- Experience teaching at the high school level is preferred.
