- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field
- Licensed CA Professional Engineer
- Four (4) or more years of related experience
- Strong diagnostic skills
- Ability to work effectively in a small group of focused and talented engineers
- Good verbal and written communication skills (clear and concise technical writing)
- High level of computer literacy
- Experience with data analysis and interpretation
- Ability to express ideas clearly and actively listen to others
- Team oriented, with a strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment to meet multiple deadlines
- Excellent time management with an ability to balance multiple projects and timelines
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and collaborative skills with the ability to prioritize efficiently and effectively within and across departments
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Must be able to work in a seated and/or standing position for extended periods
- Must be able to use fingers, hands, and arms at computer keyboard for extended periods
- Must be able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move with up to 10 lbs. of force
- Must be able to wear proper PPE to protect against exposure to exhaust gases and noise
- Must be able to continuously perform repetitive tasks; possess manual dexterity
- Must be able to travel for business, including occasional travel by vehicle and commercial airplane
- Must be able to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments all seasons
- Must be able to work non-standard working hours as required
- As required, must maintain a valid California Drivers License with a good driving record and appropriate insurance limits and/or be insurable under the Advanced Railway Innovations vehicle insurance policy

We provide railway design, construction, and inspection within the signals and communications departments. We have clients throughout North America including Canada. We have and do work with freight customers, Commuter systems and also light rail systems.
Position Summary
The ideal candidate will be able to work with the team in all aspects of design from hardware to software based control systems, as well as provide support for other various activities to include review, RFP evaluation, cost estimation, etc. This position is a very dynamic position which will ensure the successful candidate will not do the same tasks over and over.
This position is located on-site in our El Cajon Office.
Essential Functions
Required Education/Experience
The starting salary range for this position is between $114, ,760 per year, plus an annual bonus plan. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
