Description
  • Planning, implementation, and maintenance of the network infrastructure and network-related services (DNS, reverse proxies, routers, firewalls) in an experimental DevSecOps platform with both public and private cloud components
  • Creation and maintenance of the physical network configuration for the private cloud components
  • Implementation of SDN-based network configurations for complex application needs
  • Independent improvement and optimization of the infrastructure according to Infrastructure-as-Code principles
  • Collaboration in cross-functional teams consisting of military, BWI, and other civilian companies
  • Completed university degree or equivalent qualification and at least 3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Several years of experience and expert knowledge in the design and operation of physical/virtual networks (Layer 2+3) and configuration and operation of firewalls (e.g. ASA, opnSense, pfSense)
  • Several years of experience working with versioned configuration management tools (e.g. ansible, puppet) and infrastructure description tools (e.g. Terraform, Vagrant, Saltstack)
  • Experience and knowledge of Software Defined Network frameworks (e.g. Kuryr, Calico, Openstack Neutron) and network mechanisms in container and orchestration frameworks (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes), as well as cloud-native network tools/frameworks such as load balancers and reverse proxies (e.g. Traefik,
