    Account Specialist I

    Job Highlights:

    $1,000 Sign-On Bonus
    1st Month Department Bonus Guarantee
    This is an in-office position with potential to work remotely. All candidates should live within commutable distance of our Dallas, TX office.

    Pay Rate:

    $19.00 per hour plus

    bonus potential of up to $4,458.63 or more monthly based on performance.

    :


    The role of the 60-day collector is a critical position for Westlake Financial to resolve accounts potentially 31 to 60 days past due to prevent loan losses through progressive collection efforts.

    Our candidate of choice will be able to balance the following skills sets to be successful.

    DUTIES, TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES(include, but not limited to):

    Good negotiation skills- accomplished through mutual communication between agent and customer to successfully obtain payment.
    Negotiate with customers to create payment solutions based on individual circumstances.
    Meet and exceed daily goals and monthly goals.

    Initiate outbound calls that are effective in scope, and lead to successful payment or timely arrangement to satisfy the account delinquency.

    Demonstrates ability to be a team player.
    Collect accounts that are past due.
    Bring delinquency down in assigned queue and overall delinquency.
    Conduct skip-tracing activity to generate potential leads on customer or collateral.
    Handle high volume of calls in a high stress environment.
    Work with repossession agent to secure collateral.
    Meet quality assurance and productivity standards

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES

    Type at least 35wpm
    Excellent communicationandnegotiation skills
    Willing and able to work a flexible schedule including overtime and weekends
    Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    Extensive knowledge of state and federal laws applicable to collections, including the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act
    Good computer and typing skills
    Team player
    Good negotiation skills; excellent telephone etiquette
    General knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and Outlook


    EDUCATION
    High School diploma or equivalent required.


    EXPERIENCE
    2+ years' experience in collection environment preferred.
    Auto Collections experience preferred.
    Knowledge of collection, repossession, and skip tracing

    Westlake Financial is an Internet based, privately held finance company that specializes in the acquisition and servicing of sub-prime and non-prime automotive retail installment contracts.

    Headquartered in Southern California, Westlake originates indirect retail installment contracts through a network of 21,000 new and used car dealers throughout the United States.

    All collections and servicing are performed in-house from its central facility located in the Mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles.
