    What you will be doing:

    As the Director of Student Services at SDI, your primary function will be to lead the Student Services department and oversee the student life cycle from enrollment to graduation. In this role, the Director of Student Services is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating processes to ensure students are properly supported throughout their educational journey. The Director of Student Services will collaborate with leaders of SDI to achieve graduation rate goals while maintaining an efficient and compliant department and scaling for anticipated growth.

    • Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to enhance student services, aligning them with the institution's mission, vision, and values
    • Lead and manage a team of student success coaches, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the delivery of excellent service to students
    • Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of student support programs and initiatives.
    • Oversee the delivery of personalized coaching services to students, including academic advising, goal setting, and personal development support
    • Serve as a strong advocate for students, representing their interests and needs to faculty, staff, and administrators, and advocating for policies and practices that promote student success and well-being
    • Collaborate closely with Academics, Admissions, Career Services, Registrars, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless student experience
    • Utilize data and student feedback to assess the effectiveness of student services programs and initiatives, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions to enhance student outcomes
    • Ensures appropriate staffing levels are maintained to achieve service level commitments
    • Generate, review, and analyze all necessary reports to ensure Learning Management System and Student Information System reflect current data and trends
    • Establishes and monitors goals and metrics of the student success team members and department
    • Works closely with employees, peers, and Business Systems Analysts to identify process gaps and inefficiencies and ensure corrections and new enhancements are implemented
    • Other tasks as assigned

    Requirements:

    What we are looking for:

    • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
    • 8 years or more experience in Student Services at a higher education institute
    • Five years or more Director level experience preferably in Student Services
    • Ability to lead and motivate a team of student services professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
    • Adaptability to changing circumstances and willingness to adjust strategies and approaches based on evolving student needs and institutional priorities
    • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data related to student outcomes, demographics, and needs to inform decision-making and development
    • Exceptional problem-solving skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Proven effective leadership and managerial abilities
    • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate persuasively and influence outcomes
    • Some travel required (up to 15%)
