    Responsibilities

    Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

    · Perform varies field inspections as needed in a different location.

    · Perform Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical, and tunnel ventilation inspection.

    · Reporting and record keeping.

    · Perform QC/QA inspections for conformance to plans, proposals and specifications.

    · Operational knowledge of field inspection equipment.

    · Perform field inspection, testing and sampling as needed.

    · Attend various project meetings, record, and distribute meeting minutes.

    · Review, log and coordinate with the designer to respond to Contractor's submittals, RFI's and shop drawings.

    · Onsite project inspection of construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.

    · Coordinate / communicate with contractors regarding construction project activities.

    · Maintain a safe working environment.

    · Brough all non-conformance items to the immediate attention of the contractors.

    · Working on the close out of the project at the final phase.

    Requirements

    Essential Skills and Experience:

    · Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited engineering college or university.

    · Minimum of ten (10) years of construction inspection experience.

    · OSHA-10 and OSHA-30 required.

    · Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the Virginia preferred.

    · CCM preferred.

    · Prior experience with tunnel, mechanical & electrical systems is preferred.

    · Familiarity with construction industry codes.

    · Ability to communicate with colleagues and clients of all levels.

    · Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite.

    · Ability to provide inspection reports in a timely manner.

    · Works well with a team and individually.

    · Must be able to read and understand plans and specifications.
