    The Role:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Shipping Associate to manage all aspects of our international and domestic product shipments. This role requires a high-level of organization, focus, and familiarity with global and domestic shipping regulations and documentation.

    Some of your responsibilities will include:

    • Accurately weigh, measure, and document product dimensions to ensure proper classification and shipping charges based on destination
    • Proactively research and maintain current knowledge of international and domestic shipping rates, restrictions, documentation, and import/export regulations
    • Carefully inspect all outbound shipments to guarantee they meet country and state-specific labeling, packaging, and documentation requirements
    • Compile thorough shipment paperwork, including commercial invoices, certificates of origin, export declarations, packing slips, etc.
    • Proactively communicate with both international and domestic customers regarding shipment status, customs processes, duties, and taxes
    • Address any customs holds, delivery exceptions, or other issues calmly and efficiently
    • Suggest process improvements for streamlining global and local shipments

    Desired skills and qualifications:

    • High school degree or equivalent/3+ years recent experience in international and domestic shipping and logistics
    • Proficient computer skills, including experience with inventory management systems and shipping software (experience with ShipStation is a huge plus)
    • Keen attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
    • Exceptional knowledge of import/export shipping regulations and state-by-state requirements
    • Practical knowledge of common shipping carriers and systems
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or evening shifts as needed
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
