PRIMARY DUTIES TO BE APPRAISED:

Team Management:


  • Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff.
  • Delegate tasks and ensure that all team members are working efficiently to meet the needs of the Agency.
  • Substitute for warehouse staff as needed, including receiving orders, stocking, picking, and delivery.

Inventory Management:


  • Oversee the accurate ordering, receipt, storage, and distribution of goods.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and audits to reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Tracks and maintains records of purchases in accordance with Agency policy.

Operational Efficiency:


  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse operations and maximize productivity.
  • Continuously evaluate processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement.
  • Communicates and coordinates with Agency staff members to meet the logístical needs of each department.
  • Coordinates purchasing procedures and records with the Finance Department.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule to include occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned to meet the logístical needs of the Agency.

Health and Safety:


  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness among warehouse staff.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or concerns promptly.
  • Implement and enforce proper procedures for the handling and storage of hazardous materials.

Quality Assurance:


  • Maintain high standards of product quality and ensure that goods are handled and stored in accordance with company standards.
  • Implement quality control measures to prevent damage, spoilage, or loss of inventory.

Customer Service:


  • Ensures outstanding communication and service across all locations regarding orders, deliveries, and assistance with missing or required items.
  • Collaborates effectively with the entire team to guarantee the best possible care and handling of all products.
  • Maintains positive relationships with vendors and delivery personnel to optimize interactions.

Food Systems Management:


  • Coordinates with DNA team members and residential personnel to ensure that orders are placed, received, and distributed in accordance with Agency policy.
  • Coordinates with DNA team to maintain shared software systems.
  • Reviews and tracks orders placed by DNA personnel.
  • Interacts with vendors and shipping companies to ensure prompt deliveries.
  • Interacts as necessary with Agency personnel in distribution of goods received at the warehouse.
  • Manages the use and maintenance of all DNA warehouse delivery vehicles.

  • Reports for work, as scheduled, in a timely manner.

  • Cooperates with investigations.
  • Communicates concerns, problems and needs to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Complies with directions, requests and requirements of supervisors.

Requirements:


QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:


  • Associate's degree in a related curriculum.
  • Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics leadership roles.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
  • Analytical mindset with problemsolving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willing to learn new skills and take the lead in improving logístical operations.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


  • Regularly on feet, frequent walking and standing required.
  • Frequent light (up to 25 pounds) lifting of materials/equipment required.
  • Occasional heavy (over 25 pounds) lifting of materials/equipment required.
  • Occasional resident contact requiring lifting and transporting.
  • Frequent exposure to warehouse noises.
  • Frequent exposure to warehouse odors.
  • Occasional transport of residents via wheelchair.
  • Frequent bending and/or stooping required.
  • Exposure to human elements/excretions.
  • Two person lifts required.
  • Occasional loading and unloading residents in vans.
  • Operates motor vehicles and special warehouse equipment.

Pay:
$75, $85,000.00 per year
