    Description
    The Continuous Improvement Engineer will help all levels of the QuickBox Fulfillment Operation.

    They will work closely with the VP of Continuous Improvement and Supply Chain to facilitate Kaizen events, identify process improvement opportunities, and improve Inventory Control.

    They will need to become an expert in all current processes of the operation so they have a strong understanding of the current condition.


    They will also need to:
    Plan the utilization of facilities, equipment, materials and personnel to improve efficiency of operations.
    Establish work measurement programs and analyze work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
    Demonstrate the Company's core value of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
    Requirements

    Essential Duties & Job Functions:
    Lead group Continuous Improvement (C.I.) initiatives and facilitate Kaizen Events.
    Travel between all sites to identify C.I. Opportunities.
    Work with the Ops leaders at all sites to develop labor plans and tools for labor reporting.
    Analyze Pick path and inventory slotting based on run rate and cubic through put.
    Utilize the WMS and other reporting programs to stay up to date on inventory trends.

    Compile time study data, input time study data, and calculate associate percent performance by individual work element and overall performance.

    Train operations management and hourly personnel on Distribution Center Methods

    Analyze workforce utilization and operation data, such as production costs, production flow charts, and production schedules to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.

    Recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities.
    Confer with management and engineering associates to implement plans and recommendations.
    Participate in industrial engineering projects.
    Complete cost analysis utilizing engineering templates.
    Maintain flexibility to work any shift, including weekends.
    Maintain flexibility to travel up to 50% to other locations for time studies and continuous improvement projects.

    Minimum Job Qualifications:
    Bachelor's Degree in engineering, logistics, or mathematics, or formal Lean/Six Sigma Certification.
    Strong computer skills with an advanced Microsoft Office Suite skillset.
    Ability to provide excellent customer service, to both internal and external customers.
    Ability to preserve confidentiality of information.
    Excellent analytical skills.
    Highly organized with ability to multi-task.
    Familiarity with 6S and Lean terms and processes.
    Familiarity with Inventory Control and 3rd Party Logistics/E-Commerce Fulfillment
    Ability to continue education as necessary.
    LEADERSHIP/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY
    No direct reports; however, extensive project coordination activities with peer leadership components.
    Desired Previous Experience/Education

    Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, engineering, or Business/Supply Chain related field from an accredited college or university, or Lean/Six Sigma Certification.

    Minimum of 3 year of related experience or training.

    Travel – Projects activities on-site and other field visits as required.

    Work Environment:
    Work in office/warehouse. Willingness to travel up to 3+ times per quarter to other QuickBox Sites.

    Physical Demands:


    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit/ stand for lengthy periods of time, use a computer and keyboard.

    The employee is regularly required to communicate or listen.
