Summary
Working craft position.

Supervises craft workers assigned to area of responsibility, provide liaison with other trades and engineering to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications.

Duties include saw cutting, chipping, and mixing & repair patching. Clean work area and equipment, erect scaffolds, surface cleaning, caulking, coatings & membranes, and set forms for repairs. Ability to perform quick, accurate, and careful work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Carry materials/tools
Job Site clean up
Mix materials
Inventory of hardware and supplies.
Control traffic passing near, in, or around work zones.
Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes.
Stacks, handles and inventory lumber, rebar and other materials.
Place, rake and vibrate concrete.
Removes paint, lacquer, and other finishes from wood products and sands rough spots to prepare surfaces for finishing.
Examines materials and products for defects, finish, and grade, and accuracy of dimension and matching panels.
Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications.
Setup pumps, line systems, compressors, or generators to provide power for tools, machinery, or equipment, or move materials, such as concrete.
Erect or dismantle scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, or other temporary structures.
Assist in planning work schedules, determine manpower levels, material quantities, equipment requirements, etc.
Preparation of small repairs.
Read and understand product data sheets.
Understand safety policies.
Point & Patch finish.
Insure construction finishes are correct.
Assist in planning the Foreman s work schedule.
Saw cutting, chipping, mixing & repair patching.
Surface cleaning, caulking, coatings, & membranes. Set forms for repair.
Perform daily safety procedures.
Insure construction finishes are correct.
Assist in planning the Specialties Superintendent's work schedule.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises up to 10 employees in the Concrete Specialties Group. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
