    Product Development Engineer

    As our OHC Product DE with strong Mechanical Engineering skills, you will be bringing new to the world innovations to the market to expand the product portfolio and realize business growth for Philips Oral Healthcare.


    Your role will focus on:


    Development, design, check and optimization, realization and integration, and verification of elements and parts for Oral Healthcare products such as power toothbrushes, brush heads, oral irrigators, teeth whitening products and associated peripherals.

    Product Development work with the focus on user and business requirements, compliance, quality and cost.

    Delivering high level and detailed designs in accordance with the product, regulatory and other requirements which includes finalizing the design, integration and writing verification plans for the developed elements and parts.

    Testing, analyzing, and verifying the quality of the design and maintaining an outside-in approach for the designs created.

    Delivering input in the planning process to the project manager; drawing up personal schedules and reports on progress in a structured and methodical way.

    This includes ensuring good documentation for regulated devices.
    Some international travel may be required.

    You're the right fit if:
    You have

    5+ years of Mechanical Engineering design/development experience.
    Your skills include

    design experience in electro-mechanical product development and material selection for mass manufacturing, in particular injection molded parts, sheet metal parts and small parts assembly;

    si

    gnificant CAD experience, CREO/Pro E preferred.

    You need to demonstrate experience in technical problem solving; good technical documentation skills; finite element analysis for static and dynamic stresses; design of experiments (DOE); requirements flow down from customer level to components level; and rapid prototyping methods.

    You have a

    BS or MS in Mechanical, Plastics, Biomedical, or related engineering discipline from an accredited university program or equivalent experience.
    You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this

    position .
    You have

    experience within a regulated industry (medical devices desirable, along with knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management, FDA Quality System Regulations and ISO as well as a critical eye to detailand the desire to work on projects that change people's lives.

    Philips Transparency Details
    The pay range for this position is $96,000 to $177,000, annually.

    The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

    In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
