    Description

    Job Title:Financial Analyst

    Reports To: The Financial Analyst will report to the Financial Manager/Director, Chief Financial Officer, or equivalent leadership.

    Job Overview:

    The Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for the analysis the past and present financial data of the organization and estimate future revenues and expenditures. This position will predict the return on investment for different stocks and business ventures, writing financial reports and collecting industry research to inform decision making. This position will gather data to understand the trends affecting a specific type of product, geographical region or industry to help their clients make important investment decisions.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Performsfinancial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.
    • Analyzes financial data and createfinancial modelsfor decision support.
    • Reports on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
    • Analyzes past results, performvariance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
    • Works closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
    • Evaluates financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans andforecasts.
    • Guides thecost analysisprocess by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
    • Provides analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization.
    • Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials.
    • Identifies and drives process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, andExcel dashboards.
    • Increases productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
    • Performs market research, data mining, business intelligence, andvaluation comps.
    • Maintains a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts andmodels.
    • Grows financial performance through analysis of financial results, forecasts, variances, and trends.
    • Creates recommendations to be presented to management and executives.
    • Develops financial models to supportvaluation, planning, and forecasting.
    • Aids in thecapital budgetingand expenditure planning processes.
    • Reconciles existing transactions through cross-referencing of incoming and outgoing data.
    • Conducts comparables analysis and market research to support internal financial analysis.
    • Maintains up-to-date technical knowledge of financial instruments, market conditions, and trends.

    Qualifications and Education Requirements:
    • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required. Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
    • 3+ years of relevant financial or accounting experience.
    • High proficiency infinancial modelingtechniques
    • Strong fluency withExcel formulas and functions
    • Strong analytical and data gathering skills
    • Ability to build business relationships and interact effectively with C level executives.
    • Solid understanding of selling skills.
    • Exceptional computer skills.
    • Industry related experience a plus.
    • Strong integrity, solid business ethics.
    • Creative strategic thinking and performance.
    • Required to maintain an overall professional appearance and attitude.
    • Adhere to all policies and procedures required.
    Physical Demands:
    • Fine and/or gross motor skills, including the ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages on a standard wheeled cart with a load capacity of 60 lbs.
    • Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand, and/or sit for an extended period of time.
    • Manual dexterity required for operating office machinery (phone, copy machines, binding equipment, etc.).
    • Physically able to talk on the phone and input data simultaneously.
    • Ability to lift or move 40 lbs. or greater frequently.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus and ability to match or may include detection of differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness.
