Job Description

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

The Manufacturing Engineer Intern provides support in the implementation of projects that maximize up-time, minimize scrap and drive continuous improvements and quality standards.

This position reports to the Operations Manager and is based in Washington, NC.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBIITIES:
Participate in the design, development and testing of new and existing products and equipment.
Assist in the preventive and predictive maintenance systems, reliability centered maintenance and computerized maintenance management systems.
Perform reliability support, investigations, studies of molding, automation, robotic systems and operations.
Participate in timely completion of engineer projects within the budget provided.
Measure and track key process information used to direct resources (O.E.E., downtime, etc).
Ensure the transfer of information to appropriate shift and plant wide personnel.
Provide analysis and recommendations for equipment repair and maintenance projects.
Contribute to team effort by performing related tasks as needed to assist in financial goals.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field of study preferred.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Knowledgeable or willing to learn and apply the ITW Toolbox.
