You will work with executive management and have a direct impact on the success of the function in meeting NetApp's goals.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide direction and leadership to engineering managers and teams focused on the development of the Next Generation ONTAP Data Platform for AI/ML.
These committed teams will be responsible for enhancing existing storage products and developing new products for cloud volumes services, with a strong emphasis on AI and machine learning.
Set organizational product/feature design and implementation direction based on understanding market and business needs, with a specific focus on storage and AI technologies.
Collaborate with other top-level management and technology heads across the company, actively influencing overall company technology and development strategies in the storage and AI domains.
Utilize previous technical, project, and people management experience to provide direction to senior managers and lead strategic global projects in storage and AI.
Participate in corporate development of methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people within the storage and AI domain.
Foster a deep understanding of the enterprise system software development lifecycle and demonstrate experience in delivering enterprise-quality software in the storage and AI domains.
Leverage experience with analytics data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or AI/ML analytics frameworks to drive innovation in storage and AI solutions.
Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of concepts related to computer architecture, data structures, and programming practices in the context of storage and AI.
10+ years of experience as a software development engineer is required.
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Extensive technical experience in developing and delivering enterprise software, with a focus on storage and AI.
Strong understanding of modern cloud technologies and best development practices in the storage and AI domains.
Proven track record in balancing multiple complex cross-functional projects and processes with multiple stakeholders, specifically in the storage and AI domains.
This position is responsible for directing and controlling activities at the most senior level within the function and global geographic area, with a focus on storage and AI.
Decisions made by this individual have a significant operational or financial impact on the performance standards of the function and may impact the company's success.
Works with senior engineering and product management, as well as vice president-level employees, addressing storage and AI-related issues across companies and functions.
