Overview of Position
Under the direction of the Vice President of Reimbursement, the Physician Billing Manager oversees the daily activities of physician billing services for Wilshire Business Partners.
The Physician Billing Manager is responsible for ensuring all physician billing program goals and outcomes are met, including but not limited to medical billing, coding, patient insurance eligibility, and authorization.
Core Performance RequirementsSupervises the physician billing services program staff.
Ensures billing operations are performed in an accurate and timely manner.
Identifies program staffing needs. Participates in interviews, hiring, and reduction in force processes.
Effectively plans and organizes department workflow and assignments to maximize output and efficiency.
Demonstrates activities to control expenses.
Makes recommendations for program or procedural changes to improve program functioning.
Supervises personnel and assists in maintaining logs for patients' or clients' billings.
Supervises the accuracy of files and billing for services provided.
Supervises and trains personnel on patient eligibility and authorization process.
Prepares monthly statistical reports for required Client Accounts
Performs additional duties as assigned by the Vice President of Reimbursement
Exercises sound judgment in decision-making.
Demonstrates punctuality, reliability, and follow‐through on tasks/assignments.
Demonstrates cooperation with supervisor and co‐workers.
Is courteous and professional during interactions with people.
Demonstrates adaptability in times of change.

Qualifications and Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Two (2) or more years of Medical Billing Experience.
Knowledge and accuracy with ledgers and figures.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams.
Solid understanding of Physician Electronic Medical Records and Billing Systems
Understanding of Physician Billing and Coding Requirements
Supervisory abilities.
Good communication skills.
