Main Duties & Responsibilities
Summary:
To negotiate pricing and delivery for all assigned products andservices.
Manage outside processing suppliers and component sourcing in atimely manner as the purchasing point of contact for all issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Create allassigned purchase orders.
Track all ordersfrom shipment to the supplier until return and monitor progress ofcritical or longer lead time orders. Create internal process to report outto team daily.
Expedite orderswith direction from management.
Measure On TimeDelivery - address negative trends with OTD.
Conduct quarterlyvendor risk assessment meetings with internal team and post findings.
Researchadditional sources, validate and approve with engineering and quality anddevelop a sourcing strategy that ensures a primary and secondary supplierfor all outside process services.
Achieve costsavings/productivity and review open issues weekly.Be the purchasingpoint of contact for all issues with Outside Processing suppliers.
Coordinate outsideprocessing shipments and receipts with the Receiving Dept. daily. Notifyteam of job completion and pick-up availability.
Responsible forupdating Outside Processing information daily on the War Room board.
Measure on TimeDelivery for assigned suppliers.
Conduct at leastone supplier visit per month
Back up forPurchasing Manager and Junior Buyer as necessary.
Qualifications
Education, Training,Skills and Experience Requirements:
CommunicationProficiency
Decision Making
ProblemSolving/Analysis
Business Acumen
3-5 years'experience in purchasing or related field.
Computer and system skills:
proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required, ERP software preferred
Communication and Analytical skills:
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills as well as strong analytical skills. Presentation skills preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or equivalent experience preferred.
