B&F Contracting is the leader in the installation, construction, repair, and rehabilitation of underground utilities in the Southwest. Our experienced team is comprised of highly trained professionals in the contracting, engineering, and construction fields. Our expertise includes the installation of storm drains, water and sewer lines, rehabilitation of infrastructures, placement of conduit/cable for electrical or communications, and the installation of traffic signals and streetlights.

Job Summary
The Purchasing Agent purchases materials and services from suppliers/vendors, schedules material delivery, and orders blue stakes.

Responsibilities

Accurately order materials such as concrete, slurry, aggregates, and other subcontracted materials to be delivered in a timely manner
Prepare and process purchase orders as requested
Research and compare suppliers, goods, and services for the most costeffective options.
Contact suppliers to obtain prices and specifications
Research and develop vendor relationships and monitor delivery schedules
Edits spreadsheets in Excel and SharePoint
Performs related duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bilingual Spanish (speak, read, write)
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with internal and external partners in a team environment
Capable of maintaining a high level of organization
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel
Ability to multitask and prioritize
Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and attention to detail
Prior work experience in the construction industry preferred

Pay:
$ $23.00 per hour
