Purchasing Manager - Phoenix, United States - MJS Designs
Description
At our Phoenix, AZ location, the Purchasing Manager will:- Assist in the development of quotes, often working with vendors
- Interface with vendors on a professional level with mínimal upper management involvement
- Communicate with Sales and Supply Chain Manager on deadlines, out of stock part numbers and other discrepancies
- Supervise and provide guidance to the Purchasing Team
- Verify part numbers, lot numbers to Build Of Materials and other support documentation
- Quote pricing of material including electronic components, fabricated parts and more
- Create and maintain part numbers in Sage software and upload into work tickets for purchasing team
- Review and validate all documents to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to submission to Sales or Vendors.
- Create packets for purchasing department and release to production and stockroom teams
- Archive packets for all departments upon project completion
- Review documents to confirm class, RoHS and ITAR status
- Escalate issues as necessary to supervisors or other departments

Essential Job Requirements:
- Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level resourcefulness, confidence, and problemsolving skills
- Bachelor's degree required
Preferred Job Skills:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment and the electronics industry
- 5 years of sales or purchasing support experience preferred
- Previous experience working with vendors
