THE AGENCY:
_Bridges Homeward is one of the oldest human services agencies in Greater Boston.
Founded in 1873 as the Avon Home, an orphanage for local children, Bridges Homeward has a long and distinguished history of serving children, adolescents, individuals and families in the Cambridge area, Greater Boston and its suburbs.
Today, Bridges homeward provides services for foster and group care, adoption, developmental disabilities, and family support, which are all programs that support individuals and strengthen families in more than 100 cities and towns throughout Massachusetts.
Believing in proper work/life balance and self care, Bridges Homeward is currently piloting half day fridays to all eligible positions (like this one)
The Manager_ of Healthy Families Massachusetts (HFM) is a member of the Bridges Homeward Family Support and Stabilization team _and helps to manage the operations of Bridges Homeward's Healthy Families program.
_The Healthy Families Massachusetts Program's goals are to: _
Prevent child abuse and neglect by supporting positive, effective parenting skills
- Achieve optimal health, growth, and development in infancy and early childhood
- Promote increased educational attainment, job, and life skills
- Reduce unintended repeat teen pregnancies
- Promote optimal parental health and wellness

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
_
- The HFM Manager_
- _ Evaluates home visitor staff, provides weekly supervision, and makes recommendations regarding continued employment_
- _ Processes and manages referrals and intakes received from self and other referral sources_
- Directly supervises the HFM Supervisor and HFM Senior Home Visitors
- Monitors compliance with Children's Trust regulations, including overseeing case review, paperwork completion and service deliver
- Develops a supportive team environment
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in human services, public health, public administration, management or other related filed plus 3 years of experience in the filed OR Masters degree in related filed Or less than a bachelor's degree with commensurate HFM/FA experience
Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
