    Your leadership of diverse Research & Development (R&D) teams helps to protect platform/weapon systems from increasingly sophisticated threats.

    Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (LMMFC) Advanced Programs (AP) is seeking a Cyber R&D Program Manager responsible for leading cyber security and hardware assurance programs.

    This position reports to the Cyber Security & Emerging Technologies Director.

    Candidates should be experienced in research, development, and transition of advanced technology within the Department of Defense (DoD) for embedded cyber (i.e.

    securing systems/software), hardware (i.e. trust/assured microelectronics), or product security (i.e. red teaming, penetration testing, and program assessments of DoD weapon systems).

    The ideal candidate is an established R&D leader who has experience managing Government Contract Research And Development (CRAD) programs and Internal Research and Development (IRAD) portfolios.

    A successful candidate will work effectively throughout the Lockheed Martin organization, both vertically and horizontally, to build strong working team relationships in the advancement of cyber resilient systems.

    You will demonstrate a strong ability to work across organizational boundaries and jurisdictions and lead cross-discipline technical teams in the development of advanced security solutions.

    Basic Qualifications:


    • Lead complex research, and advanced technology development projects and teams.
    • Experienced in leading programs from early concept/trend, through transition to DoD product lines.
    • Management of research and development government programs.
    • An independent worker with a successful track record of managing advanced programs contracts on-cost, on-schedule, and providing high-quality contract deliverables that met or exceeded customer expectations.
    • An active Secret clearance; Ability to obtain a Top Secret / Special Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
    Desired Skills:


    • Demonstrated program management and capture for Contract Research and Development (CRAD).
    • Demonstrated experience of advanced cyber research and development projects.
    • Current knowledge of the DoD S&T (Science & Technologies) environment and acquisition process.
    • Team player – Builds effective customer, team, and partner relationships. Effective at organizing and motivating a diverse set of managers and engineers to act as "one" in the pursuit of common. objectives. Demonstrated ability to negotiate to a positive outcome with multiple stakeholders.
    • Excellent verbal and written skills necessary to articulate strategies to both internal and external customers.
    Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

    Clearance Level: Secret

    Remote Telework:

    The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

    The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

    Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
